     I have used the Rescue Me! site for customers that needed to rehome their companions because their lives had changed unexpectedly. This has been an invaluable and immediate resource. I helped the owners of two pure breed dogs that needed to be removed from the home quickly, and both received overwhelming responses and were placed within days of posting. I volunteer for the Humane Society, and am grateful for other adoption nonprofits, but when you can place a dog directly to a good home it is the best option.      Dixie has been here for a little while now and she is so adorable! A couple in Connecticut found her photo, and fell in love with her, so she is going to live in New England starting the end of this week. In addition, Yellow Diamond Dog Rescue out of North Carolina saw our dogs on the Rescue Me! site and came by to check out our shelter when they were in Tennessee for a family event. They took home one adult cat, two kittens and several dogs. In addition, they sent a transport the next day to pick up three more dogs! THANK YOU RESCUE ME!!!

     Thanks everyone for asking about Jay. I had an overwhelming response, and a number of inquiries from Rescue Me! I found Jay a wonderful new loving home. He will have another Blue & Gold Macaw companion to hang out with and a very loving family to give him lots of attention. It put my mind at ease to see how many sincere people were out there that wanted to give Jay a forever home and add him to their family and love him. I basically rescued him from being bounced around, and he lived with me for the longest out of his youthful life so far. It was not easy for me to let him go, but I know he will be happier where he can get the proper amount of attention and interaction that I was not able to give him. I can go visit him too, which works out great for me and eases the difficulty of me giving him up. Rescue Me! is a great site, and I'm glad I found it to find Jay a good home.

     I adopted Hunter, a Borzoi cross male of about 2 years old, from the local SPCA as he was about to be put down after an unsuccessful search for a permanent home for him. I knew that I would not be able to keep him as I already have two Corgis, who are siblings, very jealous and dominant. I was, however, quite desperate to save this beautiful boy. On the first day that I posted Hunter on Rescue Me!, I was contacted by a wonderful lady from Pretoria, South Africa who wanted to adopt him immediately. She fell in love with him instantly just by looking at his picture. I investigated a little further and after several phone calls, decided that my precious boy would be happy in his new environment. Then the search for transport started. During that time I had received several other phone calls of people interested in adopting him, but I had to inform them that he has found a home. With the help of the wonderful people at the Lucky Lucy Foundation, Hunter got a sponsored flight to Pretoria. My local vet, Dr. Frans de Graaf of the Hartenbosch Dierekliniek, was also a tremendous help in giving him painkillers after his sterilisation and a thorough physical examination. I still tried at this point to get all my dogs to get along, but with no success. Since Hunter went to his new mother, I have been in contact with her frequently. He is so happy in his new home and it is all thanks to Rescue Me! and all the wonderful animal lovers who support this site! Annalene Carstens, George, Western Cape, South Africa

     With our deepest gratitude, we thank Jeff and Rescue Me! for helping us locate outstanding placements for the two cats we fostered and eventually listed on Rescue Me! For six years, we funded newspaper ads, posted flyers everywhere, contacted vets, begged local rescue groups, pestered friends and neighbors, sought help from area animal control officers, put pictures on Facebook, offered funds and goods, researched shelters and the Humane Society (and learned horrific things about the animal underground), screened those who called, and prayed... Within five months of discovering Rescue Me!, our two beautiful rescued cats were living with the most devoted, loving perfect forever homes. Thank you, Jeff!!!      I am happy and sad to see my little Lacey go, but I can't believe what wonderful people I found to adopt her. They were specifically looking for a Tibetan Terrier/Lhasa Apso and chose Rescue Me! to find their next dog. I prefer this site over Craigslist any day. One thing to consider, make sure you know what breed your rescue really is. If I had not done the research and found out she was part Lhasa Apso and updated her status, I would have never found these people. I'm so lucky, and so is Lacey. Well, Lacey is luckier as she is with retired adults who will be taking her to their Lake home in Washington and on trips to Canada. Miss you so much Lacey, but glad I was able to save you from that horrible kill shelter.

     Sidney is a mature, long-haired Dachshund who unexpectedly found himself facing homelessness when his original owner tragically died. I opted to foster Sidney, as I fell for his friendly nature. Unaccustomed to Dachshunds, Sidney has turned this 'big-dog girl' into a lover of little dogs, too. I promptly placed an on-line profile for Sidney on Rescue Me! and was surprised the next morning to awaken to three responses. All inquiries seemed to come from genuinely loving and caring people, who had experience with this breed. In a world of 'first come, first serve' I was most impressed when my very first prospects asked discerning questions about Sidney's life, lifestyle, diet, health and medical records. This let me know that these people cared not only about his past, but also his future. After about a week's worth of communication, the prospects finally got to meet Sidney tonight. I told him this morning that he MAY be going to live someplace where he would have two humans and a playmate his own size. I was MOST pleased to see him greet the prospects with tail wagging and some sugars. He pulled a dog toy out of his bag to share with them and entice them into play, and allowed them to walk him about briefly. He gave me some sweet sugars good-bye & my heart melted when he didn't hesitate to jump in the vehicle with them. Win/Win/Win!!! Thank you, Rescue Me! Your patrons are angels... some with four legs, and others with two.

     I posted on Rescue Me! for help in finding a new home for my two Weimaraner's, Ava and Cody on a Tuesday. The following day I received an email from someone who was interested. Sadly, they had just lost one of their Weimaraner's the same day I posted. It was an intervention from God, in my opinion, being I was so distraught in having to make the heart wrenching decision on re-homing my beloved babies due to our situation in life; I was praying for the right people to find us. Even though we are heartbroken (that's putting it mildly), we are so grateful for our fur babies new Mom and Dad. They came Sunday to pick them up, stayed for hours with us and now are at their new home acclimating to their surroundings, etc. We keep in touch with updates which is wonderful. I miss them more than I could ever imagine but I do know they are going to be ok, loved greatly and taken care of as they should be, and deserve to be. Thank you Rescue Me! for giving us the avenue to find each other.

     We took Genesis into our home we already had three dogs and were over the limit according to our city regulations. The humane society was about to take him and have him euthanized. He is a very good dog and we couldn't let that happen. I placed him on Rescue Me! and yesterday we placed him in a new home. Thank You.

     As hard as it was to decide to rehome my beloved fuzzy 4-legged girl, this site made it all so easy. We found her a home that couldn't be any more perfect for her in less than 48 hours. I feel like everything that led her to her new family was meant to be. We will miss Daisy Duke a lot. But, knowing how much the family loves and adores her made it so much easier.      We were to lucky to find a wonderful family in North Dakota that gave Moose a new home! They saw the posting on the Rescue Me! site and contacted me. What makes this site wonderful is that is draws people that are truly interested in the animal for it's well being.      I tried on my own for a month to find my rat terrier a new home (friends, flyers, etc) but with no luck. I posted him on Rescue Me! at lunch one day and six hours later I had two interested people. Two days later he was adopted by a great couple who had another rat terrier, just what my little guy needs. I know he will be very happy with them which makes me very happy. Couldn't have found this home without Rescue Me!

     I found the most perfect home for my bichon frise Delilah in less than two hours using Rescue Me! Her new family drove four hours from another state first thing this morning to pick her up. They prayed for a dog just like her and she has found a loving home where she will have lots of TLC. I couldn't be happier with this service and highly recommend it! Thank you, Rescue Me!

     Our sweet Lola found her new home in about one hour! Her new family picked her up this morning and lived just a few towns over.      Rescue Me! was a great help. I posted my story of these two Kesshonds finding my family on Monday. And after only three days, the wonderful King family contacted us and are going to fly into Denver, Colorado, rent a car, and drive 6 hours to my home to take these two cute dogs Milo and Haylo back with them. My husband and I took these two dogs in when someone just dropped them off. We so wanted to keep them, but we were unable to because we already own two dogs and three cats. These Keeshonds were a new breed for us, and they are so funny and loving but I know they will be going to a good home. Thank goodness for Rescue Me!, because with out them, I don't know what I would have done.

     I want to express to you, or make my best effort to express, just how grateful I am to you, to Rescue Me!, and what you do on behalf of precious 'bubbas' like my Diego. I was in a desperate place to get him to a safe, loving, nurturing home due to my falling onto hard times...      I took three hours this morning between 5 and 8 am to upload and put in all the info for about 40 dogs onto the www.RescueMe.Org site. I love the results we get here, and little did I imagine that someone living two hours away would see our little Clint, Black Lab pup, and drive down and get him before noon! Amazing the power of your Rescue Me website! Keep up the good works that you do as we are all blessed by it!

     Because of unfortunate circumstances, I could not keep my dog Ayla. She had been staying at my son's home while I tried to look for her a new forever home. After two years, it came to the point that I was going to have to take her to the Animal Shelter; we all know what happens to dogs there. On the shelter page, it suggests looking for a 'Rescue group' for her breed. I did, found 'Rescue Me!' and posted her story. The next morning, I received one email and three phone calls from people that wanted to adopt her! Today, she is going to her forever home and her new family is going to love her as much as we did.      I permanently adopted my ex's beautiful pit bull terrier... When I got the call to come get her or else she would be sent to the pound I immediately came to get her. Not knowing that she was pregnant I left with my Mom to go on vacation for a few days. Needless to say my baby could not wait to drop 10 gorgeous puppies!!! I was overwhelmed and scared all at the same time. I wasn't worried about my ability to take care of them, but more so when they left. I then started searching for good adoption places. I put up a post on Rescue Me! and waited, getting scared that maybe no one would call. Soon enough the calls began pouring in!! Every person that I met through Rescue Me! was involved one way or another in animal rescue, shelters, or just was an amazing enthusiastic lover of animals! I thank whoever made this site and thank ALL the people who are loving my baby's puppies as we speak!! I know with all my heart that the puppies are now in loving amazing homes!! (plus the people let me keep a contact number to keep in touch!!)

     We were very satisfied that a young lady drove from Kansas, 4 hours away from our home, just to come meet our Lucy. She had her dog meet Lucy, too. After two hours of introductions it was decided that Lucy was to have a new home and we were all very happy with the outcome. Lucy will have a new large area for running around in, a sister dog to run with, and she will have two teenagers to play with or be played with. Lucy seemed to love the idea and was happy to get in the car and take her assigned seat in the back seat and have the window down a bit so she could smell her way to her new home. If it were not for Rescue Me!, we were looking at having to put Lucy in a local pound, and if she had not been adopted she would have been euthanized. We are so thankful that Lucy has a new home we hope is giving many hours of pleasure to her new family. Thank You!!!!!!

     Bucky was adopted by the most wonderful family last weekend! We picked up Bucky from the shelter in South Carolina the very day he was to be euthanized over 10 months ago. We fostered him through his heartworm treatment, socialized him and helped him learn to trust and love again. It was very difficult to find Bucky a home due to his heartworm status but we were patient and knew the perfect family would finally step up and they did! With the help of Facebook and networking, I was able to connect with two very kind women in Pennsylvania who offered to share him on Rescue Me! We received much more interest in Bucky once he was posted on your site. I knew the moment that I received the email from Chris in New Jersey that he was the one, so we scheduled a 'trial' weekend, drove him 10 1/2 hours and crossed our fingers that Bucky fit in with his new Dad and three children. They fell in love with him immediately and he is doing great. He has a wonderful, safe home with kids to chase and warm beds to sleep in and we cannot thank you enough for making this possible.

     Wow! Just Wow! I posted Razi on Rescue Me! and got a call that evening... the family interested has a granddaughter that has the same birthday as Razi and the granddaughter wanted a cat for her present. They were told that Bengal cats were the best cats ever and they typed in Bengal rescue. Everything just fell right into place and she went home with them yesterday. It was a sad day for us but also happy just knowing the family will love her as much as we do and treat her like the Queen she is. I can't believe it only took one day! I got a total of five people interested in her so I will tell everyone I know that this Rescue Me! site is awesome for helping pets find homes, and for finding pets! Thanks for providing such a wonderful service!

     Thank you Jeff! With the help of your Rescue Me! website I was able to get Kyro a new and loving home! He was in an apartment building that had caught fire and was deemed unlivable. I am very pleased with the results and would like to thank everyone for their interest! Knowing that he is going to a good home is one of the best feelings in the world and without Rescue Me! we would have never been able to connect Kyro with his new family in his furever home where he will chase frisbees and tennis balls with dad and go on jogs with mom.      When I posted little Isabella's picture on Rescue Me!, I never dreamed I would get the results I got. Within twenty minutes of posting, I was receiving so many candidates for this Sphynx Cat, I actually had to turn off my iPad for the night. Within two days, I received over 40 inquiries. I narrowed down these calls to the best six candidates. It then took another full day to talk to each caller and get a deeper understanding of the personalities and stabilties they each offered. I have now chosen the perfect new Mommy for Isabella, and I feel confident that Bella will live a full and happy life. Obviously I am thrilled that Rescue Me 'Rescued Me.' I don't know how my search could have been so fulfilling without such an organization.

     I was in need of a home for my cat Little because after moving she refused to come out of the utility room. The new floor plan made it too easy for my dogs to chase her. She lived in the utility room for 8 months when I made the heartbreaking decision to find her a home. I listed her on Rescue Me! and I was flooded with emails from potential new homes. I wanted her to go to a home with an experienced cat person because Little is very shy with people she doesn't know. I also wanted a home with other cats but no dogs. I was able to find the perfect home for Little. Her new mother has been great about updating me on how she is doing and she sends me lots of pictures. I have found homes for many cats that I have rescued but this was a special case and Little is so happy thanks to Rescue Me! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

     The 'Rescue Me' site is awesome! My wife and I were so worried out our dogs... if this site did not work then it would have been the pound. That was really hurting us! I was not sure about this site... 'most dogs adopted in 2 weeks' I think is what they say. I did not believe it. Yet I stand corrected! So many people out there willing to take on a rescue! I was contacted in every way: phone, text and e-mail. I got a chance to speak with all types of good people. The experience, made the decision/process easier on my wife and I.

     Jet was a needy pup who endured a strange and unsettling first year of his life. His previous owners never got him vaccinated, were animal hoarders, and he barely got to eat. When I first rescued him I noticed how affectionate and sweet he actually was. He just wanted love and attention all the time. I was worried that since he didn't like to play or play with toys at all I may not find him a home right away. Then I met a lovely couple who were retired and had all the time in the world to give Jet all the love he craved. They were also experienced with timid, neglected dogs and knew just how to handle him. I'm very happy he found his new home and got exactly what he needed!

     I am extremely happy and excited that I found a home for Zoey. My worry was she couldn't go to just any family and Rescue Me's Jack Russell Rescue allowed me to send her to a family that understands this breed of dog. Jack Russells have a lot of energy, and I did not want her to be abused for being who she naturally is: inquisitive, hunters, hyper, etc. She needed land and other dogs to keep her occupied and I found exactly that! The family appears to be loving and kind, they actually allow her to sleep with them and they have a combined four Acres of land for Zoey to roam and seven other small dogs to accompany her. I received approximately five responses from Rescue Me!, but they were after this family, so I think she's where she's meant to be, in a loving and caring environment full of land for her to run, run, run and play with her new family. Thank you SO much Jeff!!! This website is a safe haven for all Jack Russells it's not just an adoption site, but one that caters to each particular breed... Thank you for helping me find a safe home for my Zoey.

We previously placed a number of service animals. Caesar, this German Shepherd, unfortunately would have not have made the grade. We had so many responses in such a short time! We were able to sort through them and find a wonderful couple who wanted what Caesar so needed. I am amazed at the quality of families who responded and the response we had.      I was on my way to work, and saw a Jack Russell limping across a busy road. He seemed disoriented, and I stopped on a safe spot to fetch him and take him to the local vet. Although cars were slowing down to avoid the little fellow, he was knocked down just before I could reach him. I rushed him to the vet as he was in shock and bleeding slightly. The vet treated him for shock and a dislocated joint. I then fostered him and was blessed to find a couple, Bev and Bushy, who were willing to take him in permanently. He is still traumatized due to past experience; however, Bev and I are going to work together to get him through this. I would like to express my deepest thanks to Rescue Me! for helping me find the angel called Bev. Rescue Me! is user friendly and the notifications are very helpful. Thank you!

Our local shelter told me flat out she was 'unadoptable' due to to her age (10 years) and epilepsy, even though it is well managed. They faxed me a euthanasia agreement. Rescue Me! was the only self-service rescue site I could find. Within days of posting on Rescue Me!, I found an excellent home for my terminally-ill brother's beloved Jack Russell Terrier. Rescue Me! was a life-saver.

     I had almost given up on finding Norbert a good home where he would be happy, when Nicole contacted me from Rescue Me! I gave her the important information and told her to call if she was serious, just like so many times before. To my surprise she called back in a week, asking if she and her husband and child could meet Norbert. Well four days later they came to my home and spent an afternoon getting to know Norbert, and he was so happy to have a boy to play with that Norbert hardly left him the whole afternoon. In the end they took Norbert home and I get Facebook updates from his new family about how they all are doing. I am so glad that I took the time to wait for the right family, and thank you Rescue Me! for helping Norbert to find a loving family to bring him home.

We live close to the Everglades in South Florida so it is quite common to have dogs dropped off here.      Our shelter has been actively using Rescue Me! for a few weeks now and I am so impressed with the reach that you give us! We have had several adoptions made through this site. We had a young lady drive 2-1/2 hours from Nashville to pick up a puppy and her parting comment was 'She is so worth the $150 speeding ticket I got coming down to get her!' That made us smile. :) We also have one medium-sized adult dog that was on the brink of euthanasia, but is now being flown out to a home in California. The gentleman is so excited about making her part of his family. We have a young man from Wisconsin looking to drive down in a few weeks to pick up one of our black labs and take him home - that is a long drive - but he thinks Duke is worth it! We can't thank Rescue Me! enough for all that you do to keep our animals moving on to good homes!

     After nearly two months of trying to find a forever home for Lucy using my own network of friends and contacts, I was getting nowhere and beginning to worry about her future. My girlfriend and I would not be able to keep her indefinitely because of her 'issues' with our 5 domestic cats. She spent an inordinate amount of time cooped up in a room by herself when we weren't around to monitor her, which wasn't exactly helping her become better socialized either. Then I listed her on Rescue Me! and within a week I was get quite a few calls from people in the area interested in adopting Lucy. This is how William found out about her. He and his younger son came over to meet her and it was love at first sight! Lucy went home with them that very day for a 'trial run' and things worked out perfectly. It was a very difficult thing for us as we loved her very much but had two alpha Dutch Shepherds in the same house and it wasn't working for them. Both awesome dogs but needed their own domain. She now lives with another Dutchie lover and a male Dutchie that is the spitting image of her former female Dutchie sister.      I had a lot of guilt in giving up my dog Gibson due to the fact that I couldn't give him the time/energy he deserved. I work a job that requires me to work nights and didn't find it fair to him that I was always expecting him to sleep and be quiet. I wasn't able to walk him and play with him like he deserved. I was his third home in his short life and he had become very attached to me. I knew I did not want to place him in a shelter and I wanted to be the one to choose what home he went to. He loves children and I knew if he was placed in a home with kids he would be so happy. I found him an amazing couple with two children -- a 4 year old boy and a 14 month old girl. I enjoyed the fact I was able to have a hand in deciding who he spends the rest of his life with and knowing he was never sitting alone in a kennel waiting to be adopted. Rescue Me! was wonderful and I am grateful someone recommended it to me. When I am in a position to care for a dog appropriately, and want to adopt a dog, I will definitely look on Rescue Me!      Thanks to Rescue Me! I was able to help my elderly Mother find a home for one of her dogs. She is in Tennessee and doesn't have a computer or a connection to the Internet. My mother's health is going downhill and she can no longer take care of all the animals she has.      We are so thrilled with Rescue Me! and the success we had with a recent adoption. After searching for a puppy in the trader, we found a listing of Nadia, and after some consultation with people familiar with the seller, we quickly realized Nadia was in need of dire help. Upon arrival, we realized this was no ordinary dog, this was an emaciated, starved (40 lbs), and physically abused dog. In our county and surrounding counties, we have no Animal Control, and only two shelters, which are high kill. So we made it our mission to help her. After undergoing surgery for an embedded collar, a stable diet to gain weight, and getting spayed and vaccinated, she was a completely different dog. After searching for rescue organizations, we found Rescue Me! Once we posted Nadia's info, it was one short hour later her hero called in hopes of adopting her. Barb, a lifetime owner of German Shepherds, was very interested in this sweet girl. And we are so happy to say that last night her transportation was arranged to meet her new mommy and introduce her to her furever home. We are so thankful for Rescue Me! and for such a caring woman as Barb.

     Patches has a great success story. He was found wandering at a paper plant. One of the workers felt for him and tried to make him a family member. The man has an older dog that would not accept Patches. So poor baby was displaced yet again. We took Patches in and posted him on Rescue Me! We stated Patches needed a job. Within days of posting he had an offer. Come to Kansas and herd 700 to 800 head of Holstein cattle and a family to love him. Complete with grandchildren.      Hunter, a 4-year old German Shepherd belonged to a woman I worked with and she contacted me to help her find a good family to adopt Hunter as she had a deteriorating situation at her home. The adopted family was actually found the first night of the posting and drove all the way from Georgia to Kentucky to meet Hunter. They fell in love and the rest is wonderful history.      Rescue Me! was a godsend, seriously. I had to move to Denver where they have a ridiculous ban on pits. I wrestled back and forth for a month what to do... Stay in Montana with the dogs, or move on with my life and career. I didn't feel right leaving the girls without a good home for them. The day I posted my girls on Rescue Me!, I got a call from a wonderful lady, who took in both girls to a wonderful home. It is still sad, but I know they are happy and safe, and at the end of the day that is all that matters.

     Jeff, thank you very much for creating this site. I had posted my puppy on other sites with no success. Here at your site people are specifically looking for pets from people who really take care for their animals and want the best home for them. Milkshake was adopted to a great family. I know they will love him even more because he is replacing a dog they lost who passed away. I am very glad the options we have to connect to the families who want to adopt and yet the connections can remain private. I called the mom after she sent me an email and she was so happy to hear from me since I had posted in December. We talked for a long time and I sent her more pictures of Milkshake. She called me back and asked how they could get Milkshake. Since we were on opposite sided of the state, we elected to meet in the middle. Milkshake first became friends with the little girl that is 3 years old. He wagged and wagged his tail and wanted to be with her. He was good and happy with the mom and the dad. He cooperated well when they put on his harness (he was used to one anyway). When it was time for them to go back home, he happily got in their SUV and just wanted to lick everyone in the car.      This is the third time Rescue Me! proved to be a great resource for us. First was when we were able to assist Maggie by providing foster care and placement, and the second time more recently when we posted Priscilla, a beautiful young girl in foster care with us in Virginia. Within hours of the Rescue Me! post, we had a very solid application for her. After a background check, home visit and introduction, we are pleased to report that Priscilla has gone to her new home. Third, we stepped in last weekend to help Tank who was posted to www.RescueMe.Org for adoption. He's in our hands now, receiving some vet care, and he'll be looking for his new home soon. Thanks for providing such a user friendly site.

     Rescue Me was great!!! I was struggling to find a good home for my lab. A friend mentioned this site and I decided to try it out. I posted on Tuesday night and had received five emails from people who were interested by Thursday. I was able to email back and forth with each candidate and set up meetings with those who I felt would be a good fit. I ultimately found a great home for her and she is with her new family today! All within one week!!!! I will forever recommend this site to anyone interested in adopting or finding a home for a pet!!

     Oh thank you, thank you, thank you, this is just wonderful. No cost to list this Siamese cat, and it was the best rescue I've done, and the easiest to help find a forever home. This cat was extremely abused and I paid to nurse her back to health, but then I had to find her a forever home on my own. I am not a rescue agency, just a person who loves animals and often finds the abused and abandoned animals in my area. Having Rescue Me! is a Godsend to animals needing homes, I can foster them, I can pay to heal them, I can feed and love them, but I can't keep them and don't have a list of people looking to adopt them. So I was very grateful and appreciative I found your site, that doesn't look for money, it just allows people like me to find someone to give an animal a forever home. Chu Chu found hers with lovely people, I know it was the perfect fit for her and now, at last, she will truly know what it is like to be loved and cared for by a wonderful woman who drove over 2 hours to get her from me. She was an angel. I know this person will love her and I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you, Patricia and friends, for taking her in and loving Chu Chu. Although this letting go is the hard part of my rescue, it is also the happy part knowing she will be loved, cared for and get the attention this poor abused animal deserves. Thanks to Rescue Me! and the people who showed interest. And now Patricia, her guardian and new mommy, can love her now and always.

     Jake was a beautiful husky who came to us as a stray. We were not able to care for him, but we had great success finding his new family using Rescue Me! Within 24 hours of posting his information, we had five interested families. His new mom was so anxious to meet him that she drove nearly 400 miles to adopt him. They are a perfect match.

     Scooter found a new home, thanks to Rescue Me! There was a wonderful retired woman looking for a Schnauzer for over a year! She went to adoption events, searched online, etc. and decided to try Rescue Me! She found our Scooter and wanted to meet him. When she came over, she fell in love with him. Thank you so much for being available to rescues and for helping us help them!!!

     Hello, I just wanted to say that I found a wonderful family through Rescue Me!, actually I was surprised how many calls we received as I was told it would be hard to place a 100 pound Pit Bull - it was just the opposite. It took about 2 weeks and a lovely family took him in with two children 1 and 3 years old. I even had two backup people just in case the family thing didn't work out. I just heard from them and they told me he has made himself right at home. Grey Baby, you will be missed!

     When my dogs alerted me to Sally's presence at the end of my driveway one evening when we had 14' of fresh snow on the ground, I knew I had seen her before. I phoned her owners and found that they had moved to town and left her alone at their farm. She was so cold and lonely! They and I agreed that she needed a new home. I took her in and my dogs welcomed her into our warm living room. As sweet and wonderful as she is, I knew I couldn't keep a third dog, so I called upon Rescue Me! for help. I immediately started getting calls from the nicest Golden Retriever lovers. Donna and Cathy had lost their Golden to cancer last fall. I knew immediately that I had found the right family for Sally! She will now have the wonderful life she deserves. Thanks so much, Rescue Me, Donna and Cathy!

     Fiona is a precious French bulldog that was born in July 2011. She found amazing new parents that will be able to provide her perfect environment.      Finding Shelby a new home was one of the more difficult choices we have ever had to make as a family; however, her dog/food aggression issues seemed only be to be getting worse. I honestly did not think my candor about our situation would yield any responses whatsoever: I was completely wrong. Not even five hours after I posted information about Shelby on Rescue Me!, I was contacted by the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Rescue of Southern California. They were extremely positive, reassuring and hopeful that Shelby could, in fact, be rehabilitated and re-homed to a fitting family. This happened on a Wednesday, and by Friday of the same week, Shelby was evaluated by a specialist (on behalf of the Wheaten Rescue), passed with flying colors, and taken by them for rehabilitation. They assured us they would find Shelby a good home and contact us when all was said and done. We could not have been more grateful, relieved, and happy for Shelby. Also, I received numerous responses from families still interested in Shelby in spite of her recorded bite and food-aggression; had the Wheaten Rescue not intervened, I do believe I still would have been able to find the right family to suit her special needs using only Rescue Me! Thank you, thank you.

     I put Benji up for adoption and we found him a lovely home in less than a week. We fostered Benji after he was found in the highway and hit by a car. We would have loved to have kept him as he is such a sweet boy, but are glad he is with his new family, who don't have cats for him to chase! Thank you for your awesome Rescue Me website!

     Praying about the decision to rehome Buster was difficult. Our family loves him and he loves us, but he didn't have a job to do (besides herd my kiddos around the yard). While he didn't have any major bad habits, it just became apparent to us he needed more space to run and a job to do. I posted Buster on Rescue Me! because I wanted him to have a home just right for his breed. A few days ago, I received an email from a very nice lady who seemed to fall in love with Buster's picture and bio. We spoke on the phone and made plans to meet. Buster related to her and her husband right away, and this couple seemed perfect for Buster, plus 25 acres to run around!!! I had a wonderful feeling about this couple and felt Buster would be very well loved and cared for. We waved goodbye with cheerful faces and had our little tears afterward, but knowing Buster is happy and in a good family is a great comfort! I hope to stay in touch and see some pictures soon. If things do not work out there, the plan is to bring Buster home and I will try again, but I really do not think I will need to do this. Thank you, Rescue Me! This site made a difficult process very positive!
